  • 9.5mm CIR Tape Splicer

I’m looking for a CIR Tape Splicer. I know it won’t be cheap but would rather not spend £350 for a new one!

Wittner-Cinetec also has the 9.5mm CIR Splicers at 590 Euro, plus the 9.5mm Splicing Tape.

Thanks for the responses. I’m pleased to say I now have a 9.5mm splicer.
The eBay listing is definitely overpriced. A new one can be bought from Italy for £336 including import duty.
          Happy Easter!

Many years ago I took the plunge and bought a new 9.5mm from CIR in Italy.
Yes, it was expensive, but second-hand CIR splicers of any gauge are not always a good buy.

If you cannot afford a cir splicer there are plenty of cement ones about quite cheap. I have just had a look on eBay and it appears splicing cement is still available including Kodak, Agfa embacoid and another I am not familiar with. I have used embacoid on 9.5mm film ion the past and used the last drop recently on 16mm. I had a bottle of ELF cement but it dried up before I could use it. It was stored in the same place as the embacoid which I had obtained very much earlier! I now use a CIR splicer for 9.5mm which I obtained for £50 many years ago from a shop in Arundal

Had a few from bereavements sadly usually go for around £200 mint boxed complete for the family involved.
Precision product worthy of a sensible price if mint.
