That would be great to see you, there Yoram! The latest indirect news I had (last week) is that a piece ordered for the machine is still waited for.

Better come empty handed than not at all but was hoping to use the 9,5 film for a project I have. If the film comes in time I'll be able to shoot it in that format.

Ken, I was just lucky. I traveled to Paris by train, the day the electricity cut happened in Spain. I took the coach to Barcelone, in the evening, so when I arrived there the problem was already sold. I just had to wait several hours to get a train to Calella, for unclear reasons. However, a British forum member had his flight cancelled, which is a shame for him and for us, but there is few things you can do when such things happen. Better that than an accident or an health problem. Thanks to WhatsApp, we get in touch with him and with another British forum member who couldn't make it this year, neither.

Tonight, we had the super 9.5 projection. It was the first time I had the oppurtunity to attend one. A rare occasion like this may not come again (but who knows?). The films showned were all taken at different 9.5 festival by the late Jean Penavayre. No doubt it was an emotive moment. Sadly many people are no longer with us.

After that amazing moment, the 9.5 film show went on. The British Hitchcock's Blackmail was showned (with English intertitles).

They know how to motivate you to come back, next year, don't they?

Glad you got there o.k Dom. Yes it is sad that so many of my 9.5 friends have gone. The Pathescope abridgement of Blackmail is very good and was made from the silent version. Although I have family living in Spain, I was never able to get to Calella for various reasons.
