  • New permanent 9.5 exhibition

The Fondation Seydoux-Pathé, in Paris, displays again permanently 9.5 material (together with other gauges Pathé dealt with). The place choosen to show this beautiful material is near the cinema room where several projections are held every day (yesterday afternoon, I saw a 35mm copy of the silent Belgian film Maudite soit la guerre, with a live piano accompaniament.

To cope with the forum size limitations, I had to cut large parts of the photos. The original ones don't look that bad 😉

        Dominique,

Thank you for the pictures. What a wonderful exhibition!

I read a great review of Elvira Shahmiri's book. I wish it was available in English.

I searched for her book, and could only find it on "Rakuten", sort of like a French ebay i guess, was all set to buy. I got to the address section, and it looks like they only deliver in France. Dommage grrr !

Another book I'd like is " Pathé-Baby, le cinéma chez soi"

Does anyone know how to get these books delivered to England ?

I have the other two books "Pathe Grand Empire du Cinema" and "Projecteures et Cameras" both are good reading although I did have to use my "Collins Robert" dictionaries !

            Doug, thanks for that link.

Daniel, I suggest you to try to buy from the Fondation Seydoux's site. Click on the book(s) you wish, and there will be an "ajouter au panier" (add to the basket) option : Les Éditions - Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé

They are working on a little presentation document for the visitors.

i bought both books there, but since I will travel to London tomorrow, I will start reading next week.
