French modified 16 to 9.5 projector

A member of the Ciné Club 9,5 de France brought one of his projectors to show some films at the Argenteuil film fair (see my dedicated thread in the general yak section). It seems to be a prototype or an individual conversion. The original projector was a sound one but the conversion is only silent. The picture is steady and good.

Very interesting, but what a pity it is not capable of running sound films. Now, that would really be fantastic.

Well I think converting the gate, sprockets and spindles is the 'easy' part. Converting the sound system is the tricky bit, which is why good sound 9.5 conversions like the Buckingham fetch such high prices.
