  • Disassemble Pathé baby to restore it

    Hi to all,

It is my first post in this helpful forum. Recently I bought a Pathé Baby projector, it works but its external appearance is quite bad and I would like to disassemble it to paint it again. I started but I am jam with the shutter and shaft. In some comments on this forum I read that it is easy to break the shutter if I try to remove it from the shaft. Maybe someone can give me some light about what´s the best approach to do it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi again,

In the end I managed to disassemble it. Being full of dirt the shaft was jammed. It's easier than I originally thought.

If any other newbie tries to do the same, I am attaching some pictures may can help:

1 - Remove the shaft from the opposite place where the shutter is Click image for larger version Name:	Shaft.jpg Views:	0 Size:	113.8 KB ID:	6278

2 - Remove the screw shown in the picture Click image for larger version Name:	2.jpg Views:	0 Size:	77.3 KB ID:	6279

3 - Remove the projection crank shaft

Maybe someone knows the RAL color code that the Pathe Baby uses? Thanks
