Look at what I've just found on Youtube (our British members probably already knew about that document) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wXD0F04GmE

    Dominique,

Thank you for the link. I was not aware of the 16mm projector to 9.5mm conversion that's shown at the end.

      It's an Elf (Eiki) ST/M.
The ST model was an auto thread and the M model was manual thread. However, the ST models had their auto thread mechanisms removed for the 9.5mm conversion.
      Here is the 16mm model:-

Happy to hear that, Janice !

Doug, Buckingham Film Services converted to 9.5 several 16 mm Eiki models (for I reason I don't know, in the UK, Eiki was renamed "Elf"). Their prices were lower than French conversions so, as a logical consequence, they sent projectors also to Napoleon's country (and at least one projector to Belgium ).

In 2003 the Buckingham was priced at £795 (UK pounds), the Optical/Magnetic playback model was £975 (UK pounds).

Paul, this forum (well the old version) is quoted on the video

Maurice, I'm not sure but I think there was also a silent projector for sale at £ 475. Maybe, you could confirm ?

                    Dominique

I never heard of such a projector, rather unlikely with the Pathescope Gem and the Specto available each offering 800/900 ft spool capacity.
However, Buckingham did offer a 9.5mm conversion of the Muray De-Lux Editor priced at £166.83 (GB pounds).
