    John, unless you are thinking of getting into collecting 9.5 films, buying a projector seems to to be a very expensive way to check the contents of a reel of film. Surely there must be users of the gauge in your vicinity who would run the film for you to check the contents. It may not be amateur film as Pathe produced hundreds of commercial films on the gauge as they were one of the biggest world wide film distributers when they launched 9.5 mm.

      I'm so terribly sorry but I only read this only just now...
      I somehow never got a notification that you'd sent me a message.
      Yes, you're right. Buying a 9.5mm projector just to check 1 reel makes no sense unless it would be as cheap as buying a Super 8 projector. I'll see if I can find someone owning one so I can check the contents and see if it's worth transfering.
