Hi folks here's the results of some crackle finish that was needed on a recent acquisition. It was originally gold, poorly over painted, from a Gem I believe.

The results look great !
I have always wondered how that was actually done, from reading around it seems that two coats of paint were used, and the second coat applied as the first was still drying, or can you buy "crackle paint" in one mix. I'd love to actually know how it was done. The finish on some projectors/cameras was wonderful.
