I am Looking to buy a nice 16mm optical/magnetic projector/xenon, I know there is one on eBay at the moment but is an 7 hour round trip to pick it up. I’m based in Leeds and am willing to pick up if anyone had one nearer to where I live.

Philip. while I don't doubt for a moment that you'd like a Xenon machine, they are in my experience noisier than halogen-based projectors and unless you're filling a huge screen they are not particularly necessary. If you're determined however might I suggest an Elmo 16CL or an Elf EX-2000A.
