What is the length of the exciter bulb. Will it work in the Elmo 16CL. There is short version and a longer version. The Elmo 16 CL needs the longer version.

I thought all G29 Exciter bulbs were the same, but as you mentioned this I have measured them.

• From the base to the tip of the glass
  • Mazda is 45mm
  • Atlas is 47mm
  • Thorn is 50mm

However, you asked if it will work in the Elmo 16CL and I don't think it will. I believe the 16CL needs a BRK Exciter bulb which has a vertical filament and the G29 BRS bulb has a horizontal filament.

I haven't tested so I can't confirm if the filament type makes a difference, so I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who might know the answer...
