Thank you!
I first heard of Tales of Frankenstein as a kid reading Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. I've been wanting to see it since then and finally came across a YouTube upload about a decade ago. Nice job by director Curt Siodmack. Unfortunately I have not seen TOF on any film lists or at any shows.
It’s about on 16mm but it is a rarity. It’s on Curse of Frankenstein Blu Ray as an extra and even there the print is not wonderful . I would love to say it’s great but in reality it is average. Goes to show what could have been and what happens when to many people are involved. It reminded me of Mel Brooks Frankenstein movie.
If you are in the 16mm Film Collector Facebook group, Stephen Ross posted a few hours ago that he is looking to sell Son of Frankenstein, among other Frankenstein-related 16mm films.
"I have the following features in 16mm that I’m considering trading or selling as one lot.
Just checking to see if there’s still an interest in them:
Frankenstein
Son of Frankenstein
Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman
House of Frankenstein
Abbott & Costello Meets Frankenstein and even considering Werewolf of London as part of the lot.
No interest? No biggie.
Thx,
Steve"
Edit: I just realized you are looking for Tales of Frankenstein... either way, it might be worth a shot asking if he's got a copy.
