  • Looking for "The Beatles" 60's Cartoon

Hiya folks! Hope all is well.
I'm hoping to find a 16mm print of The Beatle's old TV cartoon from the 60's; Any episode really, I'm not picky. Preferably one of the later ones after the animation improved a bit, but I'll take whatever I can get. You see, my folks got me tickets to a Paul McCartney concert (The REAL Paul, not some cheap cover band!) & thought watching an episode of this cartoon on film would make a nice treat before the show! The main thing I want is for it to be intact, not missing the titles or credits & preferably minimal splices. Could have vinegar syndrome, B&W or Color, just so long as it's all there. I'm thinking maybe 15-20$ for an episode, that sounds fair. Hope to hear from you soon!

    -Gunier J. Kintgen, Your Pal.

(PS: One of The Beatle's apperances on The Ed Sullivan Show or a print of Yellow Submarine would be nice too, but I'm certian either nobody here has a copy they'd like to give up, or I could never dream of affording it)

Hi, I hope you find a print.
Back in the day - bought 20 years ago I had a lovely low fade print full length of Yellow Submarine and Hard Days Night.
    All sold now.
Enjoy Paul Mcartney live - he can still deliver pretty good even in his 80’s.
So many are still touring - some better than others. I was very disappointed with Roger Daltreys performance of his last tour. Best to retire now.
Mind you - Frankie Valli age 91…. Can still sing them all.. note perfect to the record . His lips dont even seem to be moving.🥹

Gunier - As far as your price range is concerned, if you add a "1" in front of your figures you would be much nearer the mark. These episodes do exist on 16mm but, as you can see, are rather expensive which is why I have not bought any (apart from the fact that any that surface on Ebay usually originate from the States, which is fine for you, but living in the UK we have to add tax and import duties which really make it not worthwhile).

I believe I once saw a full length print of Yellow Submarine for sale on both 16mm and super 8 at different times, so am certain they are out there. Certainly the Yellow Submarine trailer is, as I have a copy. I also have a 200' film from Red Fox of their first appearance with Ed Sullivan, super 8.

Good luck with your search, and enjoy the Macca concert. I have seen him twice in the UK and both concerts were wonderful. I also tried to get a ticket for an L.A. concert at the Staples Centre around the millennium when I was over there...... but alas, it wasn't to be.

      Update....

Just as I was writing and posting this, Mark posted his comments (see above) which now confirms that Yellow Submarine DOES exist as a full length print.
