I have a 552 that doesn’t allow me to engage the auto threader lever. I think something is stuck on the upper sprocket portion of the machine. The lower sprocket area seems free but the linkage bar that ties the two together, slightly bows under tension when I put more tension on the lever. (See photo with pointer) That leads me to think it is the upper sprocket area that is causing the problem. Waiting on a service manual at this time. Don’t want to take anything apart, just yet, for fear of going at the wrong way. There is no debris in the film path.
Anyone run into this problem or have a solution to free it up? RDub…
