I've bought my Eiki NT-2 ages ago in non-functioning condition for cheap. After loads of repair/replace/restoration it now works fine, and have been using it for years - all goes well except...

The main control knob had been missing since day one. The only replacement I can find is this very out-of-place looking knob. Although it serves the function, but that NEVER looked right to me. So the search continues.
Later this year I've got an offer for a "parts only" machine. From the seller's images there seems still having enough "parts" left to be salvaged - including the main control knob. Since the price is irresistibly cheap
, so I took the chance. Upon receiving that parts machine that I realized the set screw in the knob had been so rusted and completely stuck rendering it useless - another disappointment.
But at least I now have a reference what the original knob is supposed to look like, and its exact size. After a short search I've come across a generic knob being CHEAPLY sold in my local online shopping platform.

Although not 100% identical looking, but size-wise it's darn close. And when I said CHEAP I really mean it - only $0.35 with promotional FREE SHIPPING. So no further question - just buy this goddamn item now!
A few days later the part eventually arrived...

The original knob (with dead stuck set screw inside) on the left, the $0.35 knob on the right. Yeah - still not 100% identical, but pretty close. At the very least it's better looking that the round knob I've been using.

And it's not at the dead center position but hey - it works!
I've worked on this bastard for years. It already works flawlessly - steady images, loud&clear audio, reliable autoload, very gentle to films. And now it's in cosmetically good shape. Eventually it can be considered "complete" - case closed.
