I would like to buy some card board boxes to store my feature films. Does anyone know of a source of boxes for 2 or 3 1600' reels? Preferably in the UK. Many of the current boxes look shabby. Some other films are stored in metal 35mm film containers and I would like to transfer those to cardboard boxes.
Try Phil Sheard at Classic, I'm not sure if they are in stock yet, but he told me he was making some boxes for 16mm (much thicker than his usual 8mm boxes), not sure what sizes he's doing, but worth a call or email.
I would imagine that boxes for 16mm 1600ft will sell very well. But they will have to be of good solid cardboard, nothing flimsy because they will need to be stacked.
