The projector does not come on until you press down the auto load button, I think it is something to do with the safety cut off for if the films stops while projecting, Can anyone advise how I fix this? Thank you in advance.

It's a few years since I replaced my Bauer and Rank Aldis beasties which I had for 25 years but I seem to remember this was a problem that sometimes occurred. Once the film was loaded if I recall the film was tensioned and the projector would run fine...in theory. 🤠The Rank would sometimes just cut out. Both of these machines were professionally modified for TK and when the cap went on the Rank, the engineer that I found to change the cap, disconnected that switch...no more cut outs.
I don't have a circuit diagram so can offer no help but suspect it's a simple fix, if you can access it. Sadly the engineer who fixed my machine is no more.
Kevin Brown in Nottingham supplied my B&H doesn't touch these. I'm not even sure if Kevin is still working.Last edited by David Strelitz; April 10, 2025, 04:14 AM. -

John doesn't do 16mm and DEFINITELY NOT Bauer...I have dealt with John for 30+ years and I know as I asked him many moons ago but for 8mm in the UK he is excellent 👌Comment
