  • G.B. Bell & Howell Model 631 Amp Chassis

    Hi all hope all are well, & thank you for inviting me into the group! I'm a big fan of modified amps for use with guitar... I have my eyes on a made in Great Britain Model 631 amp, and wanted to know if anyone can share any info on it... I believe it's usable for 117v, but not certain,, but also about the tube layout, in particular if all 4-UL84's are dedicated to the power output section, or are they shared with the projector section? Is the EF86 tube next to the PEC, for the amp or the projector section? Lastly, are the speaker & power Jack's on the rear, easily adaptable to a simple 1/4" & a standard 117 volt input? And also, similar info on the Model 626. I was once knew of an online database for all B&H amps, but I can't seem to find it. Any help is welcome!!
    Many thanks in advance, and be well!!

        I'm afraid I can't help with the valves, but I do have some information on voltages.

        626 = Introduced 1954. 200-250 volts AC.
        631 = Introduced 1959. 110 volts AC.

        Note that both amps will need a 16 ohm loud speaker.

        Hope this helps.
