Hello all, I am taking a 16mm projector solar cell output directly in to a mic preamp. I've been reading that I probably should have a 1K ohm resistor in place. Advice on this and if I do, would it go in series with one of the leads?

A resistor is needed to be connected in parallel to the cell. Can't remember the suitable value however. It might be a good idea to experiment with variable resistor first.
