siemens 2000 sound

Hi there,
My Siemens 2000 is running slow, it gradually warms up but I feel the sound is still slow, and the screen flicker is quite noticeable. The speed control is fully up and I have checked the belts, the main arm belt is a chain one and seems okay, the other 2 small rubber belts seem okay as well? The speed selector is correct (on 3). Any advice please folks. Much appreciated.

Hi Patrick, had a similar problem with mine only motor was racing despite turning the speed control to the slowest speed. What I suggest is you undo the grub screw holding the motor speed control knob, then move the knob anti clockwise a few mm then tighten screw up, this should sort out the problem. Good luck.

Thanks Nick, fixed the slow problem, but now the sound has dropped! Maybe I used too much contact spray, the amp was working fine before!!!! Ho hum...

Have you tried running another audio signal into the projector to see if the low sound problem lies with the amp or with the sound head?
Try connecting (for example) the line out from a DVD player.
