B&H 1600 series projectors - fan voltage

Hello all

The later (1600 series) B&H projectors have an internal fan located inside a black plastic casing that funnels air onto the lamp.
The fan motor is DC but can anyone confirm the correct voltage, is it 12v ?

note I do not have one of these machines handy to test it myself..... hence the question!

I must admit that I originally didn't know the answer to your question, but whilst on the phone with a well known repair man I asked him for the answer.
Here is his answer.
The voltage is DC. It will read 12 volts when disconnected from the fan, however, when in operating mode the voltage will reduce to 9 volts.
You should note that the voltage is minus.
