Hi everyone,
I have a Craig 16mm film editor that has very stiff film rewinds. At a closer glance, it looks like the problem is that the grease used to lubricate the mechanism has dried up over the years. I can see a little bit of the grease in the creases of the rewinder. This would be an easy fix, but I have no idea how to open the rewinder mechanisms and clean them out. Unfortunately the manual doesn’t say anything about this either. What’s the best way to clean out the old gunk and re-lubricate it?
I’ve included a picture of one of the rewinds for a better description of what I’m dealing with.
Thanks!
