  • Someone to fix a sound issue on Elmo 16-CL

    Hi all!

ok so I have an Elmo 16-CL optical only projector that I love. It runs great but the sound plays up. I switch the sound on and it sometimes turns on sometimes doesn’t. I can tap the side of the unit and that can kick it into play.

I have checked the fuse and changed the exciter lamp. I’ve also used Deoxit on the bounce knob but it hasn’t done any good. I’ve noticed if I jiggle the sounds switch it can also make it come on.

anyhow this could be a solder joint issue, capacitor issue (although they look ok) or a switch issue. No idea.

im looking for someone who I could send this to to fix. I really want to keep these all going so someone taking a look would be great for that and maybe even check it over whilst they have it anyhow.

anyone able to maybe help with this?

    best
