Trying to find a good repair person in UK, preferably midlands. Any online ones I've found don't reply to emails or answer phone so I assume they are retired. I need to get Bell & Howell 652 fixed

Given you are in Nottingham have you tried contacting Kevin Browne KB Cine Repairs. Not sure whether he has retired, I do know last year he didn't want his contact details shared here but that maybe for anti spamming.
