I've seen a few comments in some recent threads about how good old Kodachrome can look, so I present these sample frames, all taken from Kodachrome 16mm film in the 1930s shot by my grandfather. The scans were done as 4K HDR flat scans on a ScanStation, and I have done some simple grading, trying to maintain the projected appearance of the Kodachrome.
Generally, all my grandfather's Kodachrome footage seems to have survived well. A few examples seem to have excessive shift to the cyan - even though there is plenty of red there, it seems diminished compared to green and blue.
