Have a new Eiki Slot Load SSL-O was working beautifully till I was rewinding and applied a little extra tension - now ot males a rattling sound while rewinding. Sounds like its coming from front spindle…. Did I thow something out of whack?
I guess an easier question is:how easy/hard is it to gain access to the front spindle? I think when I applied resistance something inside the spindle broke or is off track. Have another one for parts.
I have SL-2, so not sure if it's mechanically identical to SSL.
But in general Eiki projector is relatively easy to service. For example it would take mere minutes and one screwdriver to disassemble my SL2's front reel spindle - it's that simple.😉
So opened up the spindle and immediately see the problem… the plastic gear inside cracked in half! Sooooo need to buy a black plastic front spindle part for an Eiki SSL-O… any ideas?
