  • Eiki NT1 loss of sound

Any pointers please. Used this machine three months ago, no problems, tried to use it last evening but no sound. Films threaded fine and the optical sound lamp is all fine. Fuse on the amp seems ok.

I had a sound board go out on my Eiki RT-0, luckily I had a parts machine that I could swap the amp from one to the other. I like Eiki's because of the interchangeable parts.

Totally quiet = loss of power (mostly).
Could be anywhere in the chain. But at the very least try checking the power input to the amplifier board. Does it receive any ac supply input?

At their age I would hazard a guess at exhausted capacitors. I have the same problem with an RT-0. I've just ordered a refurb amp unit for it.

Hm, turns out the amp wasn't the issue with the RT-0. Oh well, looks like i'm in the same boat!

Stuart, it looks like we need many more replies from all the experts on here. I know they are reading this, thank you Nantawat, I do hope I've spelt that correctly,
