Juddering film

Hello,

Just curious, is there a known way to stop or lessen a film from slight juddering while projected?
I have a 16mm b&w film, it slightly judders going through my Elf projector, not too much but it is noticeable.

You could try giving it a clean with some Filmguard. The lubrication should help fix the judder.

I agree with Alan. If this is only happening with one particular film then FilmGuard is the way to go.

Thank you guys, I’ll give the film a good clean then and report back. Hopefully it’ll rectify the issue.

The projector needs cleaning. See after the lateral film guidance. It should play with spring force.

I had one film that struggled on two projectors. The film was actually sticky. Why, I don’t know. But after treating it with FilmGuard it ran fine.
