Kim,
That was Bolex's Super 8mm cartridge projector. You would drop a 50' reel of film in the cartridge and add a snap on plastic tip to the leader. The projector would then automatically thread, show & rewind the film. It came with six cartridges that would advance after the previous one was finished.
This Bolex used a 150w bulb and had single frame, slow motion (6-8 fps), standard (18, 24 fps) & reverse functions. You could also eject the cartridge anytime while screening and move on to the next one. Different zoom and fixed focal lenses were available.Comment
