Hopefully someone might have these rare parts; I beautifully restored my families old 8mm projector but know these parts were never there and am now trying to find them. Thanks for any further information or advise.
It's a pity that Eumig changed their ideas with some of their last 800 series regarding the sprockets for dual gauge projectors. The earlier models had separate removable sprockets for standard 8 and Super 8 use. These lived in the detachable side cover on their individual pins. That way, they couldn't get lost.
The last models had fixed standard 8 sprockets. To convert to Super 8 a "ring" of sprocket teeth clipped to the standard 8 sprocket. To store these when not in use, plus other items Eumig supplied a small plate with fixing places for the "spares", the plate had an adhesive pull-off backing. It was suggested that this be attached to the projector in "a suitable place". Most owners stuck it on the top near the handle, but others didn't bother. Hence after a number of years and different owners the dual gauge parts just disappeared.
I bought a model 824 in its original box, plus the top and bottom packing pieces. All the original "bits" were still there, including the little Super 8 panel which had never been removed from its cubby hole in the top packing piece.
I assume that such items were never sold as separate spares. The only way to buy is to find a scrap projector, providing all the necessary parts are still there.
Some of the other posts I have come across have indicated that was the case. I assume the 'plate' with the add-on sprockets was long gone through the years. I will search for some old parts projectors that I can harvest for them. Would you happen to know how far do the models match in general design?
