  • Wanted Muscle Beach Tom Cineavision

I am looking for the Cineavision scope print of this title, and not the flat version. I am also looking for the Cineavision scope print of "Pups on a Picnic" as well. ( Yes, I already know that there is one on eBay, but it is a faded print).

Osi-You probably won't find an LPP print of any Cinevision print. I've been looking for many years already but good luck in your search.

I only know of one actual LPP Cineavision print. The Star Wars full feature is on LPP, and I know as I have it. The 400ft Star Wars part 2 l, the Cineavision version, was not on LPP. Beyond that one feature print, I am pretty sure that all other Cineavision prints were printed on various "grades" of Eastman film stock. Most of them have held up well, but some have been real stinkers, fade wise. I would still like to find these two, however.

Can anyone verify as to whether, " That's My Mommy" was ever released in Cineavision or a regular scope print?

Osi, my copy of 'pups on a picnic' is in cinevision, my 16mm print of 'that's my mommy' is scope, and my copy of 'muscle beach tom' just from holding it up to light the frame is compressed not sure if its scope or cinevision or flat can you explain the difference for the 3?

Cineavision has a black line either side of the picture to make it 2.35:1 whereas the other Cinemascope prints on Super 8 and 16mm are full width but the top and bottom of the original frame are lost when cropping it to 2.66:1.

Thanks for that verification, Larry! Now I know to add it to my three. Therefore, the three I am looking for, are ... Muscle Beach Tom. That's My Mommy Pups on a Picnic

Osi-That's My Mommy in Cineavision is titled The Egg and Jerry and Graham Ritchie just posted a video of the film with good color in the What 8mm films did I watch last night? section on page 80 around 5:00 in.

Larry, that cartoon in his video is, in fact, "The Egg and Jerry". "That's My Mommy" is a completely different cartoon with the duckling character imprinting on Tom. That very same duck would later become Yakky Doodle for Hanna Barbera productions, just a few years later.

                      According to this book:

                      https://www.amazon.com/Tom-Jerry-Yea...%2C141&sr=1-67

Egg and Jerry is the scope version of That's My Mommy, so this is wrong, now that I've checked and double-checked, the book is wrong and you are right. The writer didn't do his proper research.

So I don't have That's My Mommy. I was referring to Egg and Jerry, which is a scope version of Hatch Up Your Troubles.

You have to forgive my failing memory. At my age, all the Tom and Jerry's meld together with their antics.
