I am trying to locate a tension spring for a Bolex 18-5L Super. The spring allows for tension on the metal "flapper", which is located at the rear of the machine, as the film enters the take-up reel. I am trying to modify a second Bolex projector I own and somehow lost the spring. The spring attaches to the "flapper" and is held in place by the rear film guide. I am not sure if this spring can be found at a hardware store or not? Does anyone have a junker Bolex Super that has a spring I could purchase? See photo below, thanks in advance!

I would check HomeDepot...Lowes...or even better an Ace Hardware. These places will have ready made springs that may work.
You can also make a spring if you feel industrious
I don't have a junker Bolex...but I'll look to see if I have a spring that would work. -
