No not the one with Robert Shaw running around looking for a heart attack. The Italian horror by Mario Bava. Now that the big collection is being sold on eBay I wonder when this movie will be advertised.

As previously discussed, on older threads there are three versions of this film available The full length version std 8 Derann 83 minutes , Derann super 8 edited version 72 minutes and a 3rd French full length version. I had the edited version and the full length version. I know the collector had the full length std 8 version plus possibly the French version.

The full version is worth it for the gore and Barbara Steele well pulsating 🧟♀️

Also for confusion it was also known as I LE MASQUE DU DEMON" and Revenge of the Vampire.

Mike , it was already sold . 149.00GBP , on March 19 . I have the French version on Super 8. This was standard 8 sound .

I have a corner in my spinning disk collection where Black Sunday lives on bloo Ray's.
Funny enough it was a hard one to find and usually finds a higher price even on disc.

I've seen the UK arrow disc sell between £30 to £100 as it was a very limited press run. Those who collect the limited run BR will know this.

My old 8mm print went all vinegar on me but it's nice to have the BR as a memory of the fun projecting the 8mm.
You get both versions of the film on the disc by the way.

The film itself took nearly 140 million at the box office but in a way shame Steele walked off the set of flaming star with Elvis.

I have the Arrow version Lee on Blu ray. I got it at a very reasonable rate. Think every variation is on Blu ray plus 2 DVDs. there is also some obscure Italian vampire movie Vampri set allegedly in Paris plus a 22 trailer selection that goes on for 50 minutes with some very odd and strange films. It was made to cash in on Hammer’s Dracula and what a box office return. A very young dubbed

John Richardson is there as hero before he played Tumak in Hammer’s One Million Years BC and later She. In some ways it is very b movie material and in some ways very clever and innovative

You can see the later American International movies were modelled on it in certain ways. The theme music does drill into your head.

I have Black Sabbath ( Boris Karloff not Ozzy ) left out for a viewing later on tonight. Another strange trllogy.
