Have to keep bringing this one up, the Universal 8 2X400ft digest, as I know that LPP prints of this DO exist. Also, though incredibly rare, I would love to find the XANADU super 8 optical feature. I believe that the feature was/is a Japanese feature, and probably, will have subtitles.

The LPP does exist. it was not from U8 but Red Fox. In 1982/1983 Red Fox got the negative and rights to release it.
.
And here is to see how the packing was done.
And lucky us it was struck on Kodak LPP. See the screen shot below (it belongs to Tom Photiou )

Is there a catalouge from u8 which shows there last two releases?
xanado was a total flop when it was released so i'm surprised that the company chose this title to be released, even more surprised that it is wanted by anyone, but each to their own.
it was a total embarasment to the brilliant Gene Kelly and the script is just laughable in places.
Perhaps a half hour version improves it, be interesting to see.
Now, the Blues Brothers! That would be good.

The print that I currently own is about an 8 out of 10, almost perfect color, but it already does not have perfect blacks, as it is kodak sp, but I hold out hope of finding an LPP. Well, actually, I have already found LPP copies, but they are owned by other collectors and they are not ready to part with them, and that is they're right, no hard feelings. I agree, the saving grace for this film IS the soundtrack. I do not agree that this was an embarrassment to the great Gene Kelly, as he has a great dance number in the film, not included in this digest, made to be in the past, entitled, "Whenever you're away from me", which I felt was a nice salute to Kelly, lovely music as well.

Osi, I would never knock Gene Kelly himself or his fantastic dance skills, I just think it was a mistake for him to be in this particular film. It was shown on TV here recently and I did manage to sit through it (while browsing the internet) and so much of the script is an embarrassment, I was feeling embarrassed for the actors while watching it.
At the time of its release the makers said it would revive his career. Where the hell they got that idea from with a script and storyline like this i'll never know. Did Michael Beck do anything big in movies after this movie? The soundtrack is excellent though, ELO never a let down. .
At least you have a reasonable copy Osi, I'm sure it'll do for now.
