Hello fellow 8mm buddies. I'm after some advice repairing an Elmo ST1200. I've picked one up for $50 dollars australian if you can believe that. I've just finished installing some new belts only to find the machine running really slow in the forward direction. Upon inspection I discovered under the flywheel in the back a pinch roller that is normally pressed up to the flywheel while in running mode. The spring has come off or loose and the up shot of that is when the film is running the audio pinch roller on the front side doesn't move causing friction and slowing the machine right down. I've attached some pictures to show what I mean. If someone could advise how this is supposed to go it would help me alot and I'd really appreciate it. Lucky I have some sacrificial films I use for such testing so I don't damage anything valuable. I'll post some pictures of the bargain when she's up and running.
