I think standard 8 roll film is generally better than super 8 for picture stability. The steadiest shots I ever took were on an Admira 8IIa camera, which used double 8 roll film fed into and out of the metal gate by a rotating sprocket. A superb little camera which also had a 2 lens turret, backwind for disolves, and a tilting viewfinder to eliminate vertical parallax. No wonder some of us still love standard 8!
