I was wondering if this excellent World War 2 desert film has ever been released on Super 8 in any format. I have collected Super 8 since 1977 and cannot remember ever seeing it?

Not a film I've ever come across on Super 8, either as Sea of Sand or its alternative title, Desert Patrol. Sounds like a very interesting film, I'll have to watch it.

Doug, it is a great World War 2 desert film. Definitely among the greatest war films ever made, you won’t regret it. Make sure you get hold of a copy of ‘Sea of Sand’ as the American version is shortened. I expect you have seen Ice Cold In Alex, again make sure you see the Uk version, as the US version is cut by 40 minutes !
