  • CineSea 29 is almost here! October 10 - 13, 2024

I'm happy to announce the return of the CineSea Gathering of Film Collectors. From October 10 - 13, we'll be back at the Shalimar Resort in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey for our 29th show. Since the inaugural event in 2009, everyone who's attended has helped create a tradition of people getting together to share their passion for film that continues to grow stronger with each year, and we can’t wait to experience it all with you again.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for CineSea 29:

October 10 • Thursday Night Theme
We’ll kick off the event with our Thursday Night Show, featuring short films from attendees based on a specific theme. Our last theme of “Music!” was a hit, and we can’t wait to reveal the new theme next month. Get ready for another exciting genre!

October 11 • Friday Double Feature plus A Special Presentation
Our Friday lineup includes two unique feature films nominated from your collections. The film with the highest votes will be shown late Friday afternoon, with the runner-up screened earlier that day. It’s time to start thinking about the titles you’d like us to show, as submissions will begin in early September.
Additionally, we’re working on a special presentation featuring an alliance of dedicated film enthusiasts who have become collectors, preservationists, and celluloid detectives. Their inspiring story about finding elusive source material will be a definite highlight.

October 12 • Saturday Part One: Dealer Day
Dealer Day kicks off at 10 AM with projectors running non-stop and films trading hands until 4 PM. Dealer tables are available for $30 each. Secure yours by sending me a PM or by using the “Contact Us” link on our website.

    Saturday Part Two: Evening Screenings
After a dinner break, join us for our Saturday night screenings where attendees will showcase films of 20 minutes or less, in gauges from 8mm to 35mm. The variety is always astounding, and the screenings often continue into the early morning hours!

    October 13 • Sunday
Our final day starts with packing up after breakfast, but dealer tables will remain open from 10:00 AM to Noon for last-minute deals.

And don’t forget the “Sea” in CineSea!
Take advantage of the beautiful beach just a block away and explore the renowned Wildwood Boardwalk. Enjoy Morey’s Piers and the rides at Mariner's Amusement Park, open on Saturday. Plus, there’s Mini Golf (my favorite!).

Created by John Black & Shorty Caruso, the purpose behind CineSea is to keep this hobby going by giving the collector an affordable show in an affordable location. Admission is free! Take a look at the fun from CineSea 28.

We look forward to seeing you at CineSea 29 for another unforgettable celebration of film!

            Ed,

Thank you for the slideshow! The clip from Matinee at the end is a nice touch. I hope someday you'll visit us from Seattle.
