As a lover of classic film, I was in heaven working as an artist in the entertainment industry and being known as Universal's "Monster Artist"...
BUT the real treasure was being able to have known and develop amazing friendships with the people that created some of my favorite films.
Peggy Koster, wife of Henry Koster the director of The Robe, Bishop's Wife, Harvey and others, was known to Universal Monster fans as Peggy Moran.
I was blessed to have known her as simply, Peg.
She and I immediately bonded because it turned out that Her Father (Earl Moran) was an artist (discovered and painted Marilyn Monroe), Her Husband also painted on canvas and turned out Peg was friends with such artisans as Dali. Peg had always been surrounded by artists.
Peggy was truly beautiful in it's truest sense.
When I heard that I could pre-order a S8 print of a LIMITED run of THE MUMMY'S HAND as a 19 min 400 ft VERSION...
I immediately thought of what Peggy would think.
And I recalled what she said to me during lunch at "pastabilities" one day...
"Gratitude is how we should always approach each and every day. I try everyday to do just that and I can see kindness and beauty where otherwise I may not".
I miss her and have already ordered my copy.
Below are three images..
the 400 ft COVER ART, a piece I created for Universal for a signing with Peggy and lastly, a photo of Peg and me
PS
ALSO THE MUMMY'S CURSE digest in the WORKS...I'll share memories of Virginia in the future, after I order that print..i guess! lol
