    Joe,

That's a great story. I wish I could have seen the offices of Castle Films (221 Park Avenue South), Columbia Pictures (711 Fifth Avenue) and Ken Films (560 Main Street, Fort Lee, New Jersey).

Since Marketing came to market at the end of 8mm era, so before it, who owned license to release Paramount?

Other than Castle Films and Universal (legally as Universal owned the old Paramount library); the silent extracts distributed by Ken Films (I believe); cartoons from National Telefilm (NTA); except for anything that went into the public domain I don't believe anyone released anything licensed from Paramount. Most of what was released was no longer owned by Paramount as they sold off a great deal of their library. In Europe I imagine the Fleischer cartoons were licensed when they were sold in the 9.5 gauge years ago as some of the prints have the Paramount logo. But at that time another distributor may have owned the rights from Paramount for foreign distribution.
