Our 29th gathering of film collectors is coming up very soon (October 10 - 13) in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.
The buildup to each show starts with the announcement of what our Thursday Night Theme will be. The chosen theme for this show is.....Space Travel! It all started with Georges Méliès in 1902, and we've been traveling to the stars via celluloid ever since. We expect a variety of space-themed narratives, documentaries, and cartoons (all 25 minutes or less). I was hoping someone would have a print of Little Buck Cheeser, and I've been informed that they do!
On Friday, we'll be showcasing two films selected from submissions by attendees. Here are the titles that have been submitted:
AIRPORT – 1970 (16mm Scope, IB Tech)
BAMBI – 1942 (16mm Flat, LPP)
BLACK SUNDAY – 1977 (16mm Flat, Color)
BODY PARTS – 1991 (35mm Scope, LPP)
CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER – 1994 (35mm Scope, LPP)
DEATH WISH – 1974 (16mm Adapted Scope, LPP)
THE GENERAL – 1926 (Super 8mm Flat, B&W)
GOLDFINGER – 1964 (16mm Flat, IB Tech)
LAKE OF DRACULA – 1971 (16mm Scope, Color)
PENNIES FROM HEAVEN – 1981 (16mm Flat, LPP)
SONG OF THE SOUTH – 1946 (35mm Flat, IB Tech)
THE TERMINATOR – 1984 (16mm Flat, LPP)
That's quite a group! I think I've cried during both Bambi and Lake of Dracula.....
Saturdays start with our dealer day and after dinner comes the Saturday night screening, where people bring amazing films that they'd like to share (20 minutes or less) in all different gauges. The projectors always keep going past midnight.
Created by John Black & Shorty Caruso, the purpose behind CineSea is to keep this hobby going by giving the collector an affordable show in an affordable location.
If you'd like to join us, please check out the CineSea website.
