    There's a time and place for everything, and if I'm not watching my films, I do watch movies I DVR'd from cable, or I watch a movie on a streaming service. Same as in the 70s I still watched TV even though I had films and a sound projector.

    In the 70s, having that setup was special, and guests actually requested to watch films! That ended in the VCR era. Now everyone could watch whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. It stole my thunder. You really had to be there in the hobby back then to understand it. The accessibility killed watching films as a social event.

    I would have like to have flown when they were still showing film on planes! By the time I took my first flight it was already video-tape. It must have been fun:
