  • Clockwise Super 8

Clockwise Super 8 Movieland International 600ft digest and 200ft digest. Released by Movieland International around 1986.

John Cleese comedy about adventures and calamities of super punctual teacher. I would say this is a rare release of super 8 . Did anyone have or still own a print? I would suspect it actually works well as a cutdown because the feature was a tad stretched. It should be a low fade print coming from mid 1980s

    Any thoughts.

Brian Stimpson, headmaster of the highly disciplined and successful Thomas Tompian comprehensive school, is wanted by the police for kidnapping, trespass, car theft, vandalism, and impersonating a monk. And all because he went anti-clockwise and said 'right' when he meant left. For poor Mr. Stimpson ran his life with clockwork precision until one day one little slip turned his life upside down. A superb British comedy destined to become a classic. Cleese is superb! *Note: Also available in a 200 ft. digest. Click image for larger version

    Mike,

I had no idea this was ever put out in Super 8. I saw it (and liked it) back in 86, but haven't watched it since.

i remember a conversation at a convention that it was being released and I’m sure it was reviewed. I know it’s out there in feature length as an optical title. Roger Lilley from Movieland released a number of titles and they were all great quality but in terms of numbers were limited releases.

As you say I haven't seen it since its release but would reckon it would condenses as a digest better than a feature.
