    Hi Lincoln,

Probably my favorite is The Beatles Come to Town, a 200 footer that I bought brand new from Derann. It shows the Beatles in 1963 in a small venue in the UK. It has the classic early Beatles look: suits and ties, short haircuts, screaming teenage girls and two great songs: I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Twist and Shout. The Derann prints are flat and have held their color very well. Red Fox sold this film in the original 'scope format, but unfortunately any one I've ever heard of has gone red.

We did a Concert on Screen using a really excellent DVD of a Billy Joel concert at Shea Stadium (-where the Beatles first performed in North America). Paul McCartney played the closing song , so I used The Beatles Come to Town as an opening short.

        Lincoln,

Walton's To Russia...With Elton is a 2x400' cutdown of a documentary about Elton John's 1979 tour of Moscow & Leningrad along with percussionist Ray Cooper. There's a bit too much filler of Russian locations, but there are lots of great songs. The color is still excellent!

Another favorite is The T.A.M.I. Show (Niles, 5x400'), a 1964 concert film with an incredible lineup including James Brown, The Rolling Stones, The Supremes and Smokey Robinson.

Two already mentioned.... The Beatles Come To Town and The Beatles in Concert.

To add to that...... The Beatles Live in Japan ( 2x 400' colour), A Hard Day's Night (4x 600') and non-Beatle reels... Dancing In The Street - David Bowie and Mick Jagger plus Circle of Life from The Lion King (Pre release promo) 1x 200'

( Elvis - Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite is pretty good, too)

          .

Lincoln, I don't know if these would really count, but Tom & Jerry Cat Concerto and Mickey Mouse in The Band Concert?!

            Kinda movies about concerts!!

Probably two of the most watched super 8 prints I own.

How could I say no to Mickey Mouse?

              A lot of great answers!

                Then Two More:

Corny Concerto: Warner Brothers' parody of Fantasia (Elmer Fudd stands in for Leopold Stokowski!)

Symphony Hour: Mickey Mouse has his great radio debut as a symphonic Conductor, but Goofy squishes all the instruments under an elevator two minutes before broadcast.

-and of course Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, which were considered to be concerts in of themselves.

"Fantasia" extracts on a 1200ft reel is certainly one I watch often, the music the color is really something.
