DeJur 1000 projector disassembly

Okay, so I'm taking apart my newly acquired DeJur 1000 projector to replace the belt, carefully noting the process and taking lots of pictures. Feeling pretty good about it when I suddenly notice this tiny little spring lying on the workbench. I didn't take it off and I didn't see it fall off of anything so now I don't have a clue where it goes. It's about .1 inches in diameter and .3 inches long, tightly coiled.
Does anyone know where it came from?

Good news!
After an extensive examination of the possible places and photos, I determined the location for the spring. This however led to the discovery of a missing tiny ball bearing. A thorough search of the work area and floor followed by a brief archaeological expedition into the robo-vac dust bin and I'm back in business.
