Auto rewind problem

Hello
New to this site actually very surprised to find a dedicated site for 8mm film. Why I'm here .
I have a Kokak ektasound moviedeck 285 projector that auto rewinds seconds into showing a film. I've checked for foreign objects in the track area and the guide wheels are free removed the take up reel it was free of any problems spins free. Does anyone know of a repair manual available or how to fix this problem or if the auto feature can be safely bypassed or disconnected

Based in the USA is a firm specialising in Kodak parts/info. I use their website primarily for carousel info, but they also list moviedeck info.

Called Micro- Tools based in DIXON 95620 website www.KodakParts.com

I am not familiar with moviedeck so I hope this is relavant

Hi Preston... I've had this issue with the same projector in the past. The auto rewind can be disconnected however you do need to open it up and get inside. If you send me a PM I'll send you a manual that will show you how to get inside the projector. It's not easy but doable. The auto rewind is not necessary anyway.
