Bell & Howell filmosonic belt replacement

Hi,

I own a filmosonic director series with a slightly loose belt that needs to be replaced, anybody how to get them off ? I've tried everything and just can't find a way to remove it without cutting it which obviously isn't an option if I want to place a new one.

Unfortunately I don’t have experience with your particular model, but I have Keystone 8mm projector where I had to remove the protective covering from the fan and, if I’m remembering correctly, the lamp holder in order to get the belt to come loose. Hard to tell without seeing the configuration of your projector, but it could be worth checking out on yours. You’d think they’d make these things easy😂

Heads up in case you haven't figured it out!! These companies did not want us repairing our own machines. They wanted us to send them out for servicing, even for a minor thing like a belt replacement

That's a good point, I feel like I need to take the whole thing apart for a simple procedure...
