  • Frank Arnstein passes

Longtime Forum member Frank Arnstein passed away in November of 2024. The "Dogtor" joined us from Australia on our old site in January of 2005. His knowledge and posts were greatly appreciated as he helped us through numerous projector issues. Frank described himself as a "collector of projectors & keeper of Cockatoos".

I enjoyed seeing his familiar signature.

    Frank,

Thank you for being here, for sharing your experience, and for showing us the way to mend our projectors.

This is such sad news. Frank was my mentor into the world of projector repair. We used to have so much fun solving projector problems especially with Sankyo's. I haven't heard from Frank in a few years and really miss our dialogues. His contributions to this site has been extensive ... he will be missed. RIP Dogtor Frankarnstein 😥

I never got to meet him on here, but my condolences, just the same.

Sad news. I sold a few projectors to him over the years. I was just wondering recently why I had not seen any of his ads on Australian Ebay, where he always had a good selection of refurbished Super 8 and 16mm projectors for sale. I have a GS 1200 for sale with some minor faults and he would have snapped that up in a second. RIP Frank.
