Thanks Doug. I must admit I'm not familiar with the releases from Movieland.

Could someone, perhaps, give a full lists of their super 8 releases? "The Jazz Singer" surprised me! Personally, I wonder if the souvenir version has the full song, "America"? I always loved that song

Here’s the link for titles. It’s not a complete list as Roger sold other titles beyond the 44 titles like Hollywood and the Stars, Bugs Bunny and Betty Boop. Cartoons.

Thanks Mike. They had some very good features and shorts in their list. Monsters You've Known and Loved would have sold well if more people knew about it. I may have their 50ft film Roller Coaster Ride. Will have to get it out and check.

I always wondered who released "Riddle of the Sands". Now I know!

Print quality was always great with their releases. Monsters is the best print I have seen of this title including DVD releases. They also released Swashbucklers and Jolson from Hollywood and the Stars series A number of good Bugs Bunnys which were LPP so have retained their colour.

I have over half of the series of Hollywood & the Stars on 16mm. It took me several prints to find one of "Monsters" that wasn't a dupe. It is a well loved episode. The one I am still looking for is the one on Kim Novak.

I have a 200ft extract from Riddle osf the Dands also by Movieland, I thought Derann may have continued selling the feature after Movieland ceased trading.

Did The Jazz Singer 600ft actually get released? Only asking as I've never seen a copy on any list that I remember. Was there a review in movie maker or FFTC ?

The super8database seems to indicate it was released in 4 versions. Trailer, 200ft highlight version and 600 digest in mono and stereo.

I seem to remember a trailer on lists but haven’t seen the longer versions.

Clockwise is another rare release from Movieland and it definitely was released as a review appeared in FFTC
