Try an 8mm reel you previously, threaded with no problems. Does it work? If it does ....then the ones that do not have possibly, shrunken film or film leader that has shrunk.

Thanks Thomas for the idea. I’ll try to give that a shot later on. For reference I’m going to try to post a photo of what I’m talking about. It’s getting jammed at the very first turn by the white straw. That’s the plastic piece I was referring to earlier. Visually, there is nothing blocking the track and that piece does move freely. I have noted a small piece of film will make it just past the turn, maybe 1/4”, but nothing more.

Again, I urge to try a previous film that threaded, correctly. I think the problem is shrunken film leader. The claw is not able to register with the film perforations because the film leader has shrunk, and cannot advance (push forward) the film. If the previous film fails to thread when threaded again, then the claw has lost its correct penetration reach. It simply, is not reaching out for enough to engage the film perforations for forward movement.
