  • Manual requests

Hi everybody... I've been getting several requests for projector manuals and glad that you are trying to keep these beautiful little machines running. I just wanted to update you that I may sometimes be delayed a few days in sending out links to the manuals. I'm going on over 3 years of chemo treatments and as you know there are good days and bad days, but I'm still here and in doing what I can. I just started my third chemo drug this month so not sure how side effects will be but I'll do my best to respond and get the manuals to you. Please always send me a PM with the name of the manual you are requesting. I sometimes don't see postings and intern don't look up your PM information so sending me a PM is much quicker and easier for me to follow up. Hope everybody is doing well and thank you for your patience.

              Hello Janice,

We love hearing from you! It was super fun for me when a few years ago you connected digitally with Doug and Shorty and the rest of us at CineSea for a remote visit!
              Stay strong!!

You really are amazing, just hope the new treatment will be a great success . This hobby we all share is a great way to channel our energy and thoughts away from these issues.
                    John

I can't thank you all so much for the inspiring comments. I will use each and every one of them as positive affirmations for my days. The last couple years I have been doing very well on my last chemo med. Scans were clear. All Chemo meds have side effects however I was tolerating this last one well until I developed lung issues and for 3 months had to be on prednisone... Yuck! Side effects from Prednisone was worse than the chemo, but now off that and onto a new drug. If my next scans stay clear this will be good. There is no cure for my cancer but they can treat it and that's a good thing. They are coming up with new drugs everyday and I'm hoping that AI will speed up the process.

Dominique De Bast thank you for the well wishes. We both been around this forum for a long time and you are one of my favorite posters. I just saw where Anouk Aimee passed away. My favorite French movie was "A Man and a Woman"...Great story ... excellent music!

Kenneth Horan Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I grew up in San Francisco and still consider it my home. In addition to my film interest I am a avid 49er, Giants, and Warriors fan. My youngest son Darrin is staying with me right now and we watch as many games as we can.

Paul Adsett Thank you for the best wishes they keep me going in a positive direction every day. I'm always telling my family what good friends I've developed over the years on this forum. I may not be as active these days, but I love reading how much expertise is being shared everyday...especially in the film transfer process. It was transferring my own home movies that got me into film in the first place.

Ed Gordon Crossing my figures that this new Chemo will be effective. This one requires my son to give me shots to strengthen my white blood cells. He had never done this before...but is doing great job. My daughter-in-law is a nurse...she showed him how to do the shots. My family has been heavily involved with my treatments and I'm so lucky to have them.

Greg Perry Sense I've never been able to attend a Cinesea event, but it was the next best thing to see and talk to you and so many others that I only know from text correspondence.

Douglas Meltzer Thank you for being the glue that holds this forum together Doug. I'm sure the upcoming Cinesea will be another success and I'll be there in spirit.

David Strelitz Thank you so much for the kind words. We all have gotten into this hobby different ways, but we each ended up with something in common... the love of film and film projection.

John Burgess Switching to a new treatment is always a bit scary...everyone reacts differently to these drugs. However I have a great Oncologist that has taken me from my first PET scans where I lit up like a Christmas tree to NED (No Evidence of Measurable Disease). I also think a positive attitude is a key factor in taking me through this journey. My hobbies are a major distraction that helps me coup every day.

Thank you for being here for me.
                      Janice
